BOONE COUNTY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
(Voice & TTY - Use your TTY or dial 711 on your telephone and you will automatically be connected to a TRS operator.)
Boone County Public Transportation is a county-wide transportation service that is available to all residents of Boone County, regardless of age. It is a door-to-door service, which means the bus picks you up where you request and drops you off at your desired destination.
To book a ride, reservations are required one working day in advance of your travel date. (Exceptions will be made for same day medical appointments in Boone County.) To make your reservation, contact the Boone County Council on Aging at (815) 544-9893 between the hours of 8:00am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday and ask to speak with the Transportation Department. The Boone County Council on Aging is the provider for public transportation in Boone County.
Transportation is available Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm. All buses used in the provision of the public transportation services are equipped with wheelchair lifts, so anyone of any age can ride. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Children ages 3 and younger must ride in a car safety seat. Please be sure to bring your car seat with you - the transit system does not have car seats for you to use.
