Part-time Administrative Assistant
The Boone County Public Defender’s Office is currently
hiring a part-time Administrative Assistant.  This person will
be responsible for general clerical work as well as scanning files.
Applicants must be people-oriented, have strong communication
skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.  
Computer knowledge is a must.
The starting wage for this position is $12.78 per hour
 a maximum of 19 hours per week.

 Chief County Assessment Officer
 Position Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will have the ability to interact professionally and communicate effective with County staff, elected officials and the general public. Candidate will plan, supervise, and coordinate Assessment Department and Board of Review including developing and maintaining annual budgets. Communicates and coordinates with other taxing districts in collection of property taxes. Administers annual training, develops and distributes assessment forms and interprets applicable State regulations, statutes and local ordinances. Maintain and edit County assessment roll and publishes changes. Position reports to the Boone County Board.
 Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, public administration, finance, business administration or a closely related field preferred, plus at least two years of professional experience administration/management. This position requires certification as Illinois Assessing Officer and/or other qualifications as prescribed by 35 ILCS200/3-5.
Salary Range:
Salary range of $62,000-$72,000 will be commensurable upon experience and qualifications. Boone County offers an excellent benefits package.
