Boone County CASA is currently looking for community members interested in becoming advocates.  All advocates must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and their own form of transportation, and be able to pass a criminal and DCFS background check.  Boone County CASA asks volunteers for a commitment of at least 24 months with an average monthly investment time of 10 to 12 hours per case.

Boone County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) volunteers are specially trained citizens appointed by the court to serve as guardian ad litems (GALs) in juvenile cases alleging abuse, neglect, or dependency.

If you are interested in learning more about the CASA program or would like to become an advocate, please contact the Boone County CASA office at (815) 547-6599 or at ILBooneCountyCASA@gmail.com.  More information is also available at www.boonecountycasa.org.
