April Consolidated Election Voter Registration Deadline and Grace Period Voting

Boone County Clerk, Mary S. Steurer announced that the last day to register to be able to vote in the April 7, 2015, Consolidated Election is Tuesday, March 10, 2015. 

If voters are currently registered in Boone County and have moved within the county, they will need to call the County Clerk's Office at (815) 544-3103 to report the address change so a new card may be issued.  Also, if a voter has changed their name, they will need to re-register under their new name.  These changes must be completed on or before March 10, 2015.

Registrations may be taken at the County Clerk's Office, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00pm.  You may also register at the Belvidere City Clerk's Office, Alpine Bank (main branch), Blackhawk State Bank, and Poplar Grove State Bank.  Two forms of identification are required and one must have your current address.

If you miss the March 10th deadline you may grace period register at the Boone County Clerks Office.  Grace period registration is from March 11th - April  2nd, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday, April 4th from 9:00 am to Noon.  Please note the office will be closed on Friday April 3rd, 2015, in observance of Good Friday.  In order to grace period vote you must have 2 forms of identification, one must have your current address.  If you grace period register you must be prepared to vote at the same time.
