- Purchasing including bid preparation and administration
Community Services
- Coordination of operations in the Animal Control Department
- Coordination of operations in the County Building Department
- Point of contact for media relations ( public information office)
- Services related to the Freedom of Information Act ( FOIA Law)
- Economic development activities with Growth Dimensions, Inc.

- Information Technology planning and implementation
- Intergovernmental relations
- Emergency Management Agency liaison and Homeland Security functions
- Environmental compliance and closure activity management of Belvidere/Boone County landfill #2
- Cable television franchise agreement oversight
- Strategic management of the County Comprehensive Plan
