Spring Posting :

The following are the roads that are and are not posted and the allowed weights:

2 axles, Single Rear Tires (4 tires total)..........7,000 lbs.
2 Axles, Duel Rear Tires (6 tires total).............18,000 lbs.
3 or More Axles, Duel Rear Tires.....................30,000 lbs.

 

Posted Roads:

  1. Manchester Road & State Line Road - From Winnebago County Line to Salt Box Road.
  2. Hunter Road - From Winnebago County line to McHenry County Line.
  3. Beaverton Road - From Hunter Road to Manchester Road.
  4. Poplar Grove Road - From one-half mile north of Illinois Route 173 to Hunter Road.
  5. Capron Road - From Angling Road to the South Line of the Village of Capron limits and from Illinois 173 to Hunter Road (excepting that portion within Capron Village limits).
  6. Caledonia Road - From Illinois Route 76 to Hunter Road.
  7. Russellville, Grange Hall & Angling Roads - From Woodstock Road to McHenry County Line.
  8. Stone Quarry Road - From DeKalb County Line to Chrysler Drive.
  9. Cherry Valley Road - From DeKalb County Line to Winnebago County line.
  10. Kirkland Road - From DeKalb County Line to Cherry Valley Road.

 

 Non-Posted Roads:

  1. Poplar Grove Road - From city limits of Belvidere to village limits of Poplar Grove.
  2. Genoa Road - From DeKalb County line to Business Route 20.
  3. Logan Avenue - From Belvidere Road to U.S. Route 20.
  4. Crawford/Garden Prairie Road - McHenry County Line to Woodstock Road.
  5. Woodstock Road - From Poplar Grove Road to McHenry County Line.

NOTE: Non-Posted roads will only require weight restrictions under extreme conditions. These roads will be legal load limit roads during the posted period, no overweight permits allowed with the exception of Genoa Road between the Illinois Tollway Ramp and U. S. Route 20.
