B.A.R.K. Program
Boone County Animal Control uses the B.A.R.K. (Be Aware, Responsible, and Kind) Program™
as part of their Dog Bite Prevention Education.
This program is available for all schools in Boone County Area and is FREE of charge.
The B.A.R.K. program is effective in teaching elementary-school students how to behave safely around dogs.
A Boone County Animal Control Officer & Rescue Coordinator will visit your school, free of charge.
BCAC teaches the children how to approach, handle, and play with pets, how to read dog and cat body language
and recognize danger signs, and what to do when a stray dog threatens.
